I’ve been thinking about what I wish for us in 2022.
I wish us a year filled with dialogue, connection, and sharing.
For the past two years, because of the pandemic, our daily habits have changed. Still, we can always stay connected with the people who matter most to us.
Let’s try to reach out in different ways if we can’t visit someone in person.
Let’s not hesitate to offer support to someone struggling with the situation. And let’s not hesitate to ask for help when we need it.
We all have a need to belong—let’s not let the pandemic take that away from us. Let’s keep sharing knowledge with our work teams. Take time for a break to connect and chat about different topics with colleagues. We may be working from home, but we’re not alone.
Social media has grown even more over the past two years—let’s not let it overwhelm us. Let’s be able to respect different opinions.
Even before the pandemic, people have always agreed or disagreed with public opinion. This time, it involves everyone’s health—the stakes are different.
Let’s remember that, as humans, we’ll never fully reach consensus—and that’s okay. But we can still express our viewpoints with respect.
A different perspective can be an opportunity to reflect and understand that situations can be experienced differently depending on each person’s life journey.
I wish us a year full of respectful, meaningful dialogue.
