Everyday Stress

We all know what stress is—but do we really realize the impact it can have on our lives?

Work, raising children, running errands, housekeeping, and being available for those around us are all part of our daily routine. To keep up, many of these tasks are done in a rush—and they eventually become a source of stress.

Statistics show that 35% of Quebec women aged 18 to 34 consider themselves fairly or extremely stressed most days (2019). The percentage is nearly the same for women aged 35 to 49 (35.5%).

Over time, this stress can lead to physical and mental fatigue and start to take control of our daily lives. Warning signs begin to appear: mood changes, sleep issues, difficulty concentrating… Yet, we often continue to ignore them.

Most of us are highly organized when it comes to managing a heavy workload in a single day. However, very few people actually plan time to relax.

Sometimes, we feel like others are doing less than we are. But in reality, they may have simply learned to prioritize differently.

Fatigue, burnout, stress, and anxiety have become so common that we no longer fully measure their impact on our health.

We can maintain this pace for a long time—but the cost can be high. At some point, it becomes necessary to rethink our lifestyle and sometimes even consider a new direction.

When we finally slow down, a surprising feeling can appear: boredom. After being used to a fast pace, we no longer know what to do with our free time.

This feeling is completely normal. Over time, these moments become valuable, and we learn to use them for ourselves and for the people we care about.

And then, the day ends… but the stress is already back—because we’re thinking about tomorrow.
